3 hours introductory wine course about the Barossa; taste 6 wines; optional exam; certificate; offered in English.

An introduction to viticulture and winemaking in the Barossa, tasting 6 wines, including a 'Rare & Distinguished' wine from the region.

• Learn about the European heritage of the Barossa;
• Recognise the 'hero' wines of the Barossa Valley and Eden Valley (Shiraz and Riesling), and discover some of the emerging wine styles and alternative varieties;
• Uncover the secret ingredients of the Barossa – food and wine.

Examination: 30 multiple choice questions (30 pts) - optional
Exam Duration: 30 Minutes
Passing Grade: 70%

An official Barossa Enthusiast Level 1 certificate will be issued upon passing the optional exam.
